H.E. Nassirou Bako Arifari
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Nasirou Bako Arifari is the Foreign Minister of Benin, in office since May 2011. Arifari was born in Karimama, Benin. He came from an academic political science background before joining the Beninese government. In 2013 The Secretary-General reiterated his appreciation for the key role Benin has been playing since 2011 to raise the international community’s awareness of the threat of piracy in the Gulf of Guinea.
