Michelle Breslauer leads the governance and peace portfolio at the United Nations Global Compact, the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative that brings together nearly 13,000 companies in 163 countries and 70 local networks around the world. In this role, Ms. Breslauer manages the development of programs and engagement to advance corporate purpose and the integration of the Sustainable Development Goals in business operations and partnerships.
Previously, Ms. Breslauer spent eight years directing strategic partnerships and programs for the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP), where she had a leadership role from the initial start-up phase in the operations, development, and public affairs of the organization. Michelle has significant
experience managing complex communication strategies on an international scale, including a five-year tenure at the 9/11 Memorial & Museum at the World Trade Center, and with New York City’s bid for the 2012 Olympic Games. She holds a master’s degree in urban studies from the London School of Economics and a bachelor’s degree in international affairs from the American University of Paris.
