Pioneers in SDGs Awards recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations that have made a significant impact on sustainable peace and development through innovative projects and creative initiatives that actively contribute to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Partnerships for the Goals is important for all stakeholders, including governments, the private sector, and civil society to collaborate in the development, implementation, and assessment of the SDGs for tangible progress towards sustainable development.
The Journalists and Writers Foundation and its 56 Global Partners from 30 countries will honor champions of the SDGs for their selflessness, philanthropy, dedication, and unwavering commitment of these Pioneers in SDGs exemplify their role in creating a better world for all.

FORMAT
- Submit your project with details, including a 3-minute introductory video (in English only) that outlines your project’s goals, activities, outcomes, and impact.
- The submission must address four essential criteria: innovation, stakeholders, scope, and impact.
- A representative from the short-listed projects will showcase their project to a global audience during the awards ceremony. This is an opportunity for global visibility, collaboration, and partnership prospects.
- Winners will be honored and acknowledged with monetary prizes and recognition for their contributions to the SDGs.
- The Awards will be presented virtually during the Pioneers in SDGs Awards Ceremony on October 8, 2025.
The submission deadline for projects is September 15, 2025.
We encourage civil society organizations to participate actively and share their transformative projects that have generated tangible outcomes in the implementation of the SDGs. Together, we can create a more sustainable and inclusive world.

1st Place: Pioneers in SDGs Award + $2,000 cash prize
2nd Place: Pioneers in SDGs Award + $1,000 cash prize
3rd Place: Pioneers in SDGs Award + $500 cash prize

Innovation Excellence Award + $250 cash prize
Stakeholders Engagement Award + $250 cash prize
Scope Achievement Award + $250 cash prize
Transferable Impact Award + $250 cash prize

Changemakers Awards: $100 cash prize for 5 projects

To be considered for the Pioneers in SDGs Awards, please submit your project by completing the online Application Form available on our website.
Additionally, please provide:
- Relevant supplementary information about your project
- A 3-minute introduction video clip
- The submission deadline is September 15, 2025.
- All application documents and video clips must be in English for evaluation.
