Remote Learning: Opportunities and Challenges
Vivian Heyl is Economist from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where she also completed a Master’s in Sociology with a major in Planning and Development. She holds a Master’s in Education, Administration, Planning and Social Policies from the Harvard University – Graduate School of Education. Between 2006 and 2009, she was president of the National Scientific and Technological Commission, CONICYT.
Ms. Heyl was Director of Research and Postgraduate Studies, and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Administrative Sciences of the Central University of Chile. In recent years, she has actively participated in instances such as the Presidential Commission of Science for Development
of Chile; the Executive Commission for the Creation of the New University, in the Region of Libertador Bernardo O’Higgins; and the Presidential Advisory Commission for the preparation of a Proposal for the Modernization of the Institutionalism of Science, Technology and Innovation, currently is part of the Undersecretary for Higher Education of the Ministry of Education in charge of coordinating an inclusion and equity policy in Higher Education.
